Create.

Create have been helping people build their own website since 2001. As a small family owned business we know how tough running your own business can be. That's why we've worked hard to build the tools to enable you to create your own successful website - you shouldn't have to wrestle with code, server installations or security updates. We take all that stress away - simply login and start building with our easy, visual tools. 

We've always been environmentally minded in our personal lives, but in 2020 this trickled over to Create in a BIG WAY. We looked more closely at the impact we were having on the environment, it was no longer enough that we did our office recycling and spent most of our time in an eco-friendly Business Centre powered by a wind turbine - we could and we would take it further.

The first thing we did was sign up to Ecologi to start offsetting our teams Carbon footprint every month (this was super easy). Then we worked out the footprint of our entire team over the last 19 years based on Ecologi's costs, bought carbon offsets and planted 40,000 trees on our birthday. It required some spreadsheet work but overall it was straightforward to do. It wasn't perfect (some of the information we had was pretty old) so we rounded it all up a bit, and bought a few more trees. Just for good measure! 

We bought some more trees for Christmas 2020, and have been adding to the forest here and there in a sporadic fashion. Then The Million Tree Pledge came along, it solidified where we were heading with a huge goal and after some discussion with the team it was agreed, we'd go for it. It will be tough to achieve it on our own, but with our customers to help, fundraising activities and a bit of initiative we believe we can do it.  

Alongside our plans to plant 1 million trees, we're working hard to ensure all our customers have a website that's better for the environment, while raising awareness of the impact the Internet is having on the climate crisis along the way.
