Specialising in search marketing, content strategy and digital PR, they partner with some of the fastest growing companies in e-commerce including Gymshark and SportsShoes.com.
Propellernet has been recognised as one of the top 20 places to work in the UK for the last 7 years in a row. With a people-first culture, the business has more recently directed its energy towards tacking climate change.
The Propeller Planet pledge outlines science-based targets to significantly reduce carbon emissions whilst going way beyond offsetting current and historic emissions by planting one million trees by the end of 2023.
"In the digital services sector, carbon emissions are far less than in industrial sectors like manufacturing, construction and agriculture. We are lucky that in our business we can minimise carbon emissions fairly quickly and cheaply. But that is not enough. The scale of the challenge to decarbonise and restore our climate is so vast and urgent that we believe the role of businesses like ours is to go further and faster in taking radical action to tackle climate change.
Having set aggressive targets to reduce our emissions; with The Million Tree Pledge we hope to inspire other SMEs to follow our lead in making a real impact, and in doing so adopt a target of "sub zero" and not "net zero". Instead of asking ourselves "how do we get to net zero?" we have challenged ourselves with "what is the maximum impact we can have?"
The next decade is critical and we need more businesses to take an ambitious and meaningful approach and become low carbon leaders."
